When people describe their dreams, some common themes emerge: flying, falling, being chased and failing exams are all frequently reported. For a relatively small 12 percent of the population, dreaming means entering a world filled with monochromatic tones. Dreaming in black and white seems to have a common denominator in exposure to black-and-white television. People aged 25 and younger report seldom dreaming in black and white.
